Founder and Chairman

As a polio survivor, since the age of 2, Captain Mick has dedicated his life to providing everyone with an accessible boating experience. Over 30 years ago, he began working toward creating Active Disabled Americans, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the water related activities through donations. To this day, he continues to work daily to share his passion of providing accessible and inclusive water activities for all.

Executive Director and Board

Ken Ostebo has over 36 years of experience in vessel ownership and operations, as well as technology design and engineering. He is considered one of the Maritime industry’s acknowledged experts in water operations. His past experiences in operations and development make him uniquely capable of understanding how to implement actionable and scalable practices to help organizations grow to their full potential.

Captain

James Dean is a West Virginia Native. He fell in love with the Keys 10 years ago while vacationing with his wife and daughter.

Having retired from active duty military services, he now calls the Florida Keys home. Shortly after retirement, James earned his Merchant Mariners Credentials and now spends most of his days on the water.
