About Us

Our Boat


Active  Disabled Americans, a not for profit organization operating out of Key  Largo, Florida. dba Tranquil Adventures is a small boat and cruise  charter operation specializing in charters for people with disabipities.  Captain  Mick Nealey runs the operation in Key Largo an hour south of Miami. His  dock is completely wheelchair accessible as are both of his vessels.  Both vessels...  have lifts to assist individuals with disabilities in and out of the  water. His vessels are equipped with all coast guard approved safety  equipment and can comfortably accommodate 10 people max, 4 in  wheelchairs. His boat is perfect for family outings and has a ramp for  easy wheelchair access. A variety of activities are available. Whether  you'd like to go sightseeing on the Bay in Everglades National Park or  snorkeling, fishing in Pennekamp State Park on the Atlantic, or beach  party, island hopping, restaurant, and Tiki bar in Blackwater sound or  any combination, Create your Tranquil Adventure

$350 for half day 4hrs $500 for full day 8hrs Special rates for veterans and people with disabilities. Sponsorship also available call for details

We directly benefit children, adults, and veterans with disabilities to imagine the possibilities in their lives! About the Captain Captain Mick  Nealey, an experienced Keys captain, and guide. He launched Tranquil  Adventures, a charter tour, and cruise operation over 30 years ago. TA  specializes in providing accessible boat tours for persons with  disabilities. Nealey, founder, and operator of Tranquil Adventures and  Active Disabled Americans is a polio survivor since the age of 2. He  considers himself uniquely qualified to understand the needs and adapt  equipment for people with special needs. My disability was just never  much of a hindrance in my life. Now I want to show other disabled  individuals that they can be active too.” Captain Mick is dedicated to  assisting individuals with disabilities to discover boating and all the  activities associated with it.
