Active Disabled Americans, a not for profit organization operating out of Key Largo, Florida. dba Tranquil Adventures is a small boat and cruise charter operation specializing in charters for people with disabipities. Captain Mick Nealey runs the operation in Key Largo an hour south of Miami. His dock is completely wheelchair accessible as are both of his vessels. Both vessels... have lifts to assist individuals with disabilities in and out of the water. His vessels are equipped with all coast guard approved safety equipment and can comfortably accommodate 10 people max, 4 in wheelchairs. His boat is perfect for family outings and has a ramp for easy wheelchair access. A variety of activities are available. Whether you'd like to go sightseeing on the Bay in Everglades National Park or snorkeling, fishing in Pennekamp State Park on the Atlantic, or beach party, island hopping, restaurant, and Tiki bar in Blackwater sound or any combination, Create your Tranquil Adventure

He launched Tranquil Adventures, a charter tour, and cruise operation over 30 years ago. TA specializes in providing accessible boat tours for persons with disabilities. Nealey, founder, and operator of Tranquil Adventures and Active Disabled Americans is a polio survivor since the age of 2. He considers himself uniquely qualified to understand the needs and adapt equipment for people with special needs. My disability was just never much of a hindrance in my life. Now I want to show other disabled individuals that they can be active too.” Captain Mick is dedicated to assisting individuals with disabilities to discover boating and all the activities associated with it.
